The Brief:

  • Gadens promotes four lawyers to partner and Hall & Wilcox elevates three, pushing both firms’ partnerships further as they keep growing nationally.

  • Disputes feature across both rounds, from insolvency and financial services litigation at H&W to contentious tax and IP enforcement at Gadens.

Two national firms have unveiled new partner promotions this week, and litigators are doing most of the running.

Gadens has promoted four lawyers to partner, effective 1 July 2026, taking its national partnership past 120.

The new partners are:

  • Sandra Camilleri, Intellectual Property

  • Tegan Harris, Dispute Resolution

  • Shane Wacker, Energy and Corporate

  • Yangmin Park, Commercial Property

Camilleri has built a leading reputation in IP enforcement and patent litigation. Harris, a litigator of a decade’s standing, handles complex disputes across financial services and government, with particular strength in contentious tax and regulatory proceedings. Wacker advises on energy sector projects and corporate transactions, while Park brings commercial property expertise.

CEO and Managing Partner Mark Pistilli said:

“Gadens is growing with purpose. In the past year, we have expanded our national footprint, re-established our presence in Western Australia and welcomed high calibre lateral partners across key practice areas.”

Over at Hall & Wilcox, three new partners headline a broader round of 72 promotions across the firm.

The new partners are:

  • Ann O'Connell, Dispute Resolution (Restructuring and Insolvency)

  • Hamish McNair, Dispute Resolution (Financial Services)

  • Megan Scott, Dispute Resolution (Insolvency and Restructuring)

O’Connell specialises in restructuring and insolvency, corporate workouts and banking debt recovery, acting for companies, directors, administrators, liquidators and receivers. McNair is a commercial litigator focused on financial services disputes, reputational claims and regulatory matters. Scott rounds out the trio, advising insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors and corporates through complex commercial disputes.

Chief Executive Partner Graydon Dowd said:

“Growth creates opportunities for our people, and these promotions recognise individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to our clients, our culture and the firm.”
