The Brief:

  • Arnold Bloch Leibler has promoted four new partners effective 1 July 2026, up from just one last year.

  • The firm’s partnership has hit 50, exactly double the number from ten years ago.

Arnold Bloch Leibler has hit a milestone, promoting four new partners as the firm's partnership reaches 50, exactly double what it was a decade ago.

The new partners are:

  1. Ari Bendet, Commercial

  2. Laura Cochrane, Commercial

  3. Michael Repse, Property & Development

  4. Brianna Youngson, Property & Development

Four partners is a significant step up from last year, when the firm promoted just one partner.

While many of its partners have worked elsewhere at different stages of their careers, none of the newest 25 are laterals. It’s a deliberate, long-running bet on homegrown talent.

Managing Partner Henry Lanzer said the growth reflects client need, not an appetite for size.

ABL has never pursued growth for growth’s sake. The firm’s partner numbers reflect the evolution of our clients’ interests and needs, and our commitment to ensuring our offering remains ahead of commercial and regulatory developments across our practice areas.
