The Brief:

  • Allens and MinterEllison sign on with Legora

  • KWM, ABL and G+T back Harvey

Allens has thrown its bet on the legal AI race, announcing two big investments in Legora and Thomson Reuters’ CoCounsel.

Allens was the first Australian firm to partner with Legora.

The move also builds on Allens’ alliance with Linklaters, which has adopted Legora across all 30 offices, adding to its existing suite of AI tools like proprietary chatbot Laila and contract platform CreateiQ 2.0.

MinterEllison has followed suit, adding Legora to an AI ecosystem already built on Microsoft Copilot and its proprietary Lantern platform.

CEO Virginia Briggs said: “Our approach to AI is grounded in the belief that technology should amplify human judgment. This is about enhancing expertise, not automating it.”

With KWM, ABL and G+T already backing rival platform Harvey, the battle for AI supremacy in the top tier market is truly underway.
