Clifford Chance has promoted 28 lawyers to partner globally, including two in Sydney.
John Karantonis and Rebecca Elgar Weil join the partnership on 1 May 2026
Magic circle firm Clifford Chance has made up 28 lawyers to partner worldwide, including 2 in Sydney.
John Karantonis joins the ranks in the firm’s Private Equity group. His deal sheet includes acting for Blackstone Energy Partners in the sale of ~42% Stake in Cheniere Energy and advising TPG on its 70% equity investment into Kinetic.
Rebecca Elgar Weil joins the partnership as a specialist in the Real Estate division. Elgar Weil acts for heavyweights, including Mirvac, Dexus and Lendlease.
The pair will join the partnership on 1 May 2026.
