The Brief:
Corrs Chambers Westgarth has poached projects and energy partner Bree Miechel.
Miechel moves from Ashurst after spending five years at the global firm.
Corrs Chambers Westgarth has bolstered its projects and energy bench, appointing Bree Miechel as a partner in Sydney after five years at Ashurst.
Miechel advises sponsors, procuring authorities, lenders, contractors, vendors and investors on the commercial contracting side of major energy and infrastructure projects. She has a specific focus on energy transition and renewables across Australia and the region.
At Corrs, she joins a team that’s already led on some of the market’s biggest mandates, including the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone and HumeLink.
Bree has significant experience working on energy transition and renewable matters in Australia and across the region. We are delighted to welcome Bree to the partnership.
It’s the second projects departure from Ashurst in quick succession. DLA Piper recently snapped up Nikki van der Meer from the firm’s Perth office.
