Costa Koutsis joins in Sydney, bolstering Corrs’ national tax bench.
Corrs Chambers Westgarth has poached Costa Koutsis, the Global Co-Head of Tax at Ashurst, as its newest tax partner in Sydney.
Koutsis, a leading indirect tax specialist. He brings 20+ years’ experience advising on stamp duty, GST and land tax across cross-border M&A, privatisations, capital raisings and restructures.
He is leaving Ashurst after five years, and previously spent nearly a decade each at PwC and Baker McKenzie.
His deal sheet includes advising Scape Australia on its $3.85bn Aveo acquisition and TPG Telecom on its $5.25bn fibre sale to Vocus Group - two standout transactions.
