The cohort spans competition, corporate governance, energy, tax, real estate and employment, and follows the firm’s latest partner round.
Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has promoted eight executive counsel across its Australian offices, part of a global round that saw 32 lawyers elevated to the senior role.
Three of the eight are employment specialists.
The eight promotions are:

Adam Ray, Employment, Melbourne
Naison Seery, Tax, Melbourne
Graeme Tanner, Work Health and Safety, Employment, and Workers Compensation, Melbourne
Executive partner Kristin Stammer praised the cohort:

The promotions follow HSF Kramer’s latest partner round, in which the firm appointed ten new Australian partners across disputes, energy and infrastructure, intellectual property, corporate and employment.
All promotions took effect 1 May.
