The Brief:

  • Legora has launched Portal, a collaborative AI workspace that lets firms and clients work together in real time.

  • The launch follows its $150m raise at a $1.8bn valuation and adoption by Linklaters, BCLP, Dentons and Taylor Wessing.

Fresh off its $150m fundraise, Stockholm-based Legora has unveiled Portal — a new platform designed to change how lawyers and clients collaborate.

The product lets users upload documents in bulk, build firm-specific AI workflows, and share live updates without endless email chains.

Co-founder Max Junestrand likens it to “how Figma transformed design collaboration.”

For over 30 years, lawyers have relied on email for client collaboration. Portal eliminates these inefficiencies with a secure, centralised workspace.

The tool also lets firms “productise” their expertise by turning their specialist expertise into AI-powered products — custom workflows, playbooks and collaboration tools that clients can use directly. It’s designed to let firms deliver knowledge through client-facing products.

Kyle Poe, Legora’s VP of Legal Innovation (and former Morgan Lewis partner), called it a “fundamental shift” in service delivery. “The firms that embrace this approach will be leading the industry in five years.”

Portal is currently in design partnership with Linklaters, Cleary and Goodwin, with a broader rollout expected early 2026.
