The Brief:

  • Norton Rose Fulbright appoints Marshall Bromwich as Australia Country Head.

  • The Brisbane-based partner takes the reins from Alison Deitz.

Norton Rose Fulbright has named Marshall Bromwich as its new Australia Country Head, effective 1 June 2026.

Bromwich is based in Brisbane, and he takes over from Alison Deitz, who has led the Australian business since 2020. On her watch, the firm completed its biggest structural move in years, merging the Australia and EMEA regions into a unified EMEAPAC practice last July.

Bromwich will keep running his Corporate and Consumer Markets practices alongside the new role.

The local partnership has shrunk from around 145 partners in 2019 to 113 today. But with international revenue up ~16% to US$2.8bn last year, Bromwich says he’s focused on growth. EMEAPAC Managing Partner Peter Scott agrees, saying he looks forward to working with Bromwich to grow “profitably in Australia and across the wider Asia Pacific region.”

Deitz called it “a privilege” to have led the Australian business for six years, adding that Bromwich is “the right person to lead the Australian practice into its next phase.”
