The Brief:
Piper Alderman has poached corporate partner Simon Davidson from Lander & Rogers.
Special counsel Jayde Lysy is also returning to the firm’s Melbourne corporate team.
Piper Alderman has added firepower to its corporate bench, hiring Simon Davidson as a partner in Melbourne.
Davidson joins from Lander & Rogers and covers the full corporate playbook: ECM, M&A, restructuring, foreign investment and corporate advisory.
He has practised across Australia, the UK and the Middle East, advising listed and private companies on strategic deals, capital raisings and growth plays. Davidson is also a former DLA Piper partner, working across Melbourne and Dubai, and spent nearly eight years at MinterEllison as special counsel before that.
Beyond deals, he’s recognised for his focus on innovation, playing a key role in developing legal tech initiatives.
Davidson has his sights set on ECM in particular.
