Squire Patton Boggs hires Scott Crabb as a partner in its Perth Litigation Practice Group.
He joins from Clayton Utz, bringing 30+ years of complex commercial litigation experience.
Squire Patton Boggs has bolstered its Perth disputes bench, poaching veteran litigator Scott Crabb from Clayton Utz.
Crabb brings more than 30 years’ experience in complex, large-scale commercial litigation, spanning international and multi-jurisdictional disputes, arbitrations, regulatory investigations and crisis management. He also advises across statutory interpretation, contracting, IP, competition and trade practices, media, marketing, advertising, distribution and governance issues.
His deal sheet includes representing HBF in Supreme Court proceedings over curtain wall defects at its corporate HQ, the State of Western Australia across multiple jurisdictions in Clive Palmer’s WA Mineralogy Act litigation, and Yara group companies in multi-jurisdictional proceedings over its interests in fertiliser and ammonia plants.
Stephen Sampson, who leads the Squires’ EMEA and Australia Litigation Practice Group, said the hire builds on the firm's global momentum.
“Scott’s appointment is another important step in the expansion of our global practice, complementing recent hires in Spain and the UK and enhancing our ability to support clients on complex matters across key markets,” he said.
Crabb’s arrival follows a run of Litigation hires for the firm, including Lorena Fatás in Madrid and Miles Robinson, Deborah Polden and Ciaran Williams in the UK. It also comes after Squire Patton Boggs added Corporate partner Michael Brady to its Perth office in March.
