Squire Patton Boggs has bolstered its Perth corporate bench, appointing energy and resources specialist Michael Brady as a partner.

Brady joins from HWL Ebsworth, where he served as national sector lead for energy and resources for nearly four years.

He brings more than 17 years’ experience across corporate, commercial and securities law, with a focus on complex, often multi-jurisdictional transactions in the energy, mining and resources sectors. His practice spans M&A, inbound foreign investment, and the structuring, financing and development of major energy and mining projects.

Brady also currently serves as national president of the Energy Resources Law Association.

Perth managing partner Tony Chong welcomed the appointment.

“Together with his general corporate and commercial expertise, Michael's pragmatic, client-focused approach makes him an ideal fit with our regional and global teams. He also brings with him listed entity and Australia Securities Exchange experience which further strengthens our corporate offering.”
