WA’s Chief Justice Peter Quinlan has announced the appointment of nine new Senior Counsel for 2025.

The group was drawn from across the state’s top chambers and the DPP, with seven appointees practising as barristers and two as state prosecutors. The cohort includes three women and six men.

Their practices span commercial litigation, insolvency, public law, native title, family law, employment and criminal law.

Appointment as SC is “based on eminence in the practice of law, especially in advocacy, unquestioned integrity, availability and independence.”
