The Brief:
Hamilton Locke has snapped up construction partner Justin O'Callaghan from K&L Gates.
He lands in Brisbane, reuniting with a string of former K&L Gates colleagues.
Hamilton Locke has raided K&L Gates again, this time nabbing construction partner Justin O’Callaghan for its Brisbane office.
O’Callaghan plays at the front end of the project lifecycle, advising on procurement and delivery of high-value, large-scale projects across energy, infrastructure, resources and real estate.
His recent runsheet includes:
The design and construction of a $500m automated facility in Queensland
A $1.3bn solar farm and BESS project in NSW, listed on the Australian Government’s National Renewable Energy Priority List
The delivery of a major fibre-optic network in WA
Hamilton Locke Managing Partner Brit Ibanez said the hire reflects the sheer volume of state-significant projects and capital investment underway across Australia.
“Justin’s transactional construction expertise strengthens our construction, infrastructure and new energy capability, giving clients an experienced adviser who can help them navigate the complexities of delivering major projects nationally,” she said.
O’Callaghan joins from K&L Gates, re-joining former colleagues Betsy-Ann Howe, Matthew Cridland, Annalie Mitchelson, Samuel Brown and Lisa Ward, who all made the jump to Hamilton Locke earlier this year.
